What do I need for a telemedicine visit?
A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone, and a reliable internet connection. We'll send you a secure video link before your appointment.
Is telemedicine covered by insurance?
Most major insurers, including Medicare, Medicaid, CareFirst, Aetna, United Healthcare, and Cigna, cover telemedicine visits at the same rate as in-person visits. Call us to confirm your specific plan.
Can all visits be done by telemedicine?
Most primary care, chronic care, and follow-up visits work well via telemedicine. Some visits, like physical exams, lab draws, TB testing, and STD testing, require you to come in. We'll let you know upfront.
