Common questions.

What conditions qualify for medical cannabis in Maryland?

Maryland allows certification for a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, cachexia, anorexia, wasting syndrome, nausea, seizures, glaucoma, PTSD, and any condition that is severe or for which standard medical treatments have been ineffective. Your provider will determine if you qualify.

How does the certification process work?

You'll have a clinical evaluation with our provider to review your medical history and qualifying condition. If you qualify, we complete the MMCC certification and you register through the state's patient portal to receive your card.

Do I need to be an existing patient?

No. You can come in as a new patient specifically for a cannabis certification evaluation. We do review your medical history as part of the process.

Can my certification be done by telemedicine?

Telemedicine certifications are available under Maryland rules for renewals. Initial certifications may require an in-person visit; call us to confirm current requirements.

Does insurance cover the certification visit?

Most insurance plans do not cover medical cannabis certification visits. We offer straightforward self-pay pricing. Call 240-332-4439 for current rates.
